BEIJIN - The parallel session on “Digital Empowerment and Practice of Confucius Institutes” at the 2025 World Chinese Language Conference was successfully held at the National Convention Center in Beijing.

The case submitted by TAG-Confucius Institute (TAG-CI), titled “Digital Empowerment, Intelligent Teaching Promotion: Innovative Practices and Localized Exploration of Chinese Language Education at TAG-Confucius Institute” was selected as a global exemplary case, and Dr. Yang Songfang, Chinese Director of TAG-CI, was invited to share its achievements at the session.

Dr. Yang shared the explorations and reflections of TAG-CI in promoting the digital transformation of Chinese language education from four aspects: background and philosophy, practical approaches, achievements and experience, and future plans. This presentation provided valuable insights for the global digital-intelligent development of Confucius Institutes.
The session also featured an award ceremony for exemplary cases, during which Dr. Yang accepted the award. This honor signifies that the achievements of TAG-CI in promoting the deep integration of Chinese language education with modern technology have received high-level recognition and affirmation from authoritative institutions.

Looking ahead, TAG-CI will continue to uphold the spirit of openness and innovation, persistently explore new pathways for empowering Chinese language education through digital intelligence technologies, provide high-quality learning experiences for Chinese learners, and contribute the Confucius Institute’s wisdom to promoting mutual learning among civilizations.

This session was jointly organized by Chinese International Education Foundation (CIEF) and Beijing University of Science and Technology, aiming to promote the innovative practices of digital intelligence at Confucius Institutes and foster the sharing of achievements in digital intelligence construction among Confucius Institutes worldwide. It was reported that a total of 20 Confucius Institutes worldwide received the Exemplary Case Award, and six representatives were invited to present their practical achievements on site.
