MUSCAT - Oman Energy Association (OPAL) in cooperation with the Ministry of Energy and Minerals, and Projects, Tenders and Local Content Authority signed a service level cooperation agreement with Talal Abu-Ghazaleh & Co. International (TAG-Audit) -  Certified Accountants, a member of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Global Digital (TAG.GD), to become OPAL’s accredited audit office. ‎

The signing ceremony took place at the Association’s headquarters in the presence of OPAL’s Chief Executive Director Mr. Mohammad Al-Naabi and TAG-Audit Executive Director in Muscat, Mr. Salah Al-Musallami.

The cooperation agreement aims at boosting the efficiency of the auditing and ensue maintaining the highest standards of transparency and quality in the procedures of granting certification, out of the Association’s keenness and its efforts in enhancing the implementation of the Local Content Certificate Program. 

It is worth mentioning that OPAL selected TAG-Audit attributed to its more than 50 years of experience in the provision of professional services, external auditing and consulting in the Sultanate of Oman, through more than 100 offices all over the world. In addition to its outstanding record in issuing local content certificates through its offices in a number of the Arab Gulf States, including the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates.

It should be noted that this cooperation aligns with the Oman 2040 Vision and the government’s efforts seeking to support sustainable economic development and boosting local added value in a mechanism that contributes to achieving sustainability goals and objectives, as well as empowering the Omani companies in various sectors.
