Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Confucius Institute (TAG-Confucius) was established in 2008 with the aim to introduce the Chinese language and culture, highlighting the common values between the Arab and Chinese cultures. It is the outcome of a distinctive, unique cooperation between Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Global Digital (TAG.GD) and the Confucius Institute in China.

TAG-Confucius was established attributed to TAG.GD’s belief in the basic role this language plays and its importance in revitalizing the businesses locally and regionally, to support the economic growth in the region.

It serves as the officially accredited center for Chinese language education in Jordan. The language is taught by specialized educators in teaching Chinese as a foreign language. Educators are delegated from Shenyang University and are accredited by the leading Confucius Institute in China.

In addition to teaching Chinese, TAG-Confucius organizes many activities related to the Chinese language and culture.

The TAG-Confucius further offers, in collaboration with the World Chinese Language Council and Shenyang University, various scholarships for the Institute’s students wishing to study in China. This is to give the Institute’s students the opportunity to learn Chinese in its homeland, which effectively contributes to prompt learning and mastering of the language, in addition to the opportunity to get to know the ancient Chinese civilization and culture.
