Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh Receives Chinese Ambassador to Jordan, Affirms Readiness for Cooperation across Various Fields

AMMAN – HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, founder and chairman of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Global Digital (TAG.GD), received in his office the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Jordan, His Excellency Mr. Guo Wei.

Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh welcomed the Ambassador, expressing pride in the strong and longstanding ties between the two countries, affirming his commitment and readiness to provide full support to further strengthen the friendship and cooperation between Jordan and China.

For his part, Ambassador Guo Wei conveyed the greeting of Chinese President His Excellency Xi Jinping to Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh, in recognition of his role and efforts in enhancing Arab-Sino relations.  

It is worth mentioning that the meeting was held in the presence of Mr. Gao Xiaoqiang, the Cultural Attaché at the Chinese Embassy, in addition to HE Mr. Luay Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, TAG.GD vice president, and Mr. Mamoun Abu Al-Sebaa', executive director of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Confucius Institute (TAG-Confucius).

During the meeting, the two sides discussed means to develop and strengthen bilateral relations between the two friendly countries, discussing opportunities to enhance cooperation across cultural, educational, and knowledge-based fields, especially in light of the ongoing global digital and knowledge revolution. The discussion also addressed the potential of digital transformation to advance learning and knowledge dissemination.

Additionally, Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh expressed pride that Abu-Ghazaleh Intellectual Property was the first global company operating in China since 2003 in the field of intellectual property, saying: “My interest and admiration for China started in 1985. As a curious learner by nature, I decided to study in the ‘school’ of China”.

Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh further commended President Xi Jinping as a symbol of noble and genuine principles and values.

Ambassador Wei expressed his appreciation for Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh’s unwavering contributions in the fields of economy and digital education, highlighting the significant role of TAG.GD in supporting development and enhancing institutional collaboration between the two countries.

During his visit, the Chinese Ambassador visited TAG-Confucius headquarters and met with a host of Chinese teachers. The Ambassador was briefed on the Institute’s programs and its role in enhancing cultural and educational exchange between the two sides.
