To improve the level and quality of education in Arab countries

As an initiative of TAG.Global, the Arab Organization for Quality Assurance in Education was founded in Belgium in 2007 as a non-profit organization in response to the wishes and directives shared in summits by Arab leaders. It improves Arab education through the provision of services relating to quality assurance and accreditation, in addition to building capacities, exchanging experiences and raising awareness. The Organization is chaired by its founder HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh and is headed by the Honorary President HE the Secretary General of the Arab League.

It also builds, supports and strengthens quality assurance in Arab education and encourages cooperation between Arab and international accreditation bodies in order to share experiences and information to promote academic excellence.

The Organization assists in the establishment of a classification system for educational institutions in the Arab region to promote and facilitate quality research in education.

Through a number of regional and global agreements, the Organization is linked with several renowned institutions, including, but not limited to: The General Secretariat of the Arab League, the Union of Arab Universities, the Higher Education Accreditation Commission in Jordan (HEAC), the Institute for Accreditation, Licensing and Quality Assurance (ACQUIN), a memorandum of understanding with the British Accreditation Council (BAC), the Foundation for International Business Administration Programs Accreditation (FIBAA) and the Council for American and International Schools Abroad (CAISA) affiliated to New England Association for Schools and Colleges (NEASC).
