The mystical beauty of the ancient Chinese culture mixed with colorful images of dragons and lanterns evoked the final day of the Chinese Cultural Heritage dancing and musical performance by Shenyang Normal University Band organized by Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Confucius Institute (TAG-Confucius) at Al Hussein Cultural Center.
Visions of ancient China were set in motion through a hazy atmosphere as varied Chinese musical instruments played in the background drawing images of love and peace.
The May 29-30 event, held under the patronage of HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, chairman and CEO of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization (TAG-Org), was attended by a host of diplomats headed by the Chinese and Korean ambassadors and thousands of fans of the Chinese culture.
Mr. Abu-Ghazaleh said, "This is the Chinese culture in all its glory and beauty; the wonderful depiction of certain eras in the Chinese civilization mixed with the beauty of sound decorated our senses. The performance opened the door to many people who are excited to know more about the Chinese culture. It was a celebration of life."
Meanwhile, according to Mr. Mohammad Sami Al-Kharouf, TAG-Confucius director, the event was a part of TAG-Confucius program which focuses on enriching and promoting knowledge of the Chinese culture.
"The numerous sketches, the colorful images and costumes made us all feel as part of the event.
We, at TAG-Confucius, will try to introduce the Chinese culture in all its glory through more events," he said.
The cultural troupe of Drama College, in Shenyang Normal University was set up in 2004 and composed of professors and students specializing in drama, dancing and Chinese traditional musical instrument.
The troupe has visited India, Djibouti, Republic of Korea, the US, Lebanon, Thailand, Hong Kong and now Jordan through cooperation with TAG-Confucius.

Microsoft signs MoU with Talal Abu Ghazaleh Knowledge Society
Microsoft has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Talal Abu Ghazaleh Knowledge Society, Shabakat Al Ordon, int@j and Meydan to support the Microsoft Innovation Academy programme in developing the technical, business and operational skills of ICT start-ups and entrepreneurs in order to accelerate their growth and success.
The Innovation Academy programme, the second phase of the BizSpark programme and an initiative launched by the Microsoft Innovation Centre, is a learning path for startups and entrepreneurs designed to help participants in the initial phases of a start-up and enable them to move to the next step in developing their projects.
The MoU signed between microsoft and its partners will create a set of policy recommendations and define the business, operations and technical tracks of the programme that will support the sustainability and the successful execution of the Innovation Academy.

In the field of partnerships and international relations, the Organization signed different cooperation agreements with educational organizations having interest in promoting the educational quality in the Arab countries, regionally and internationally including the Education Directorate at the League's General Secretariat, Jordan Higher Education Accreditation Commission, Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation (FIBAA) in addition to others.
Moreover, the Organization has started assisting a number of the higher education institutions in the Arab countries to establish quality assurance systems in addition to providing quality assurance programs according to the international quality standards. Furthermore, AROQA acts as a consulting entity in qualification and capacity building in quality assurance in education and academic excellence in a number of educational organizations in Jordan, Kuwait, and Bahrain among others.
To promote awareness and capacity building in the field of quality assurance in education, AROQA organized conferences, seminars and workshops which mainly address quality and accreditation.

LAS to host Aroqa board meeting

League of Arab States Hosts AROQA Annual Board Meeting
(MENAFN Press) The meeting aims at reviewing the most important developments and achievements and setting up a future strategy in light of the success realized during the relatively-short period of time since AROQA's establishment.
Cairo – July 2010 - Under the patronage of the Secretary General of the League of Arab States (LAS), the President of the Arab Organization for Quality Assurance in Education (AROQA), the Organization holds its annual board meeting on July 1, 2010 at the headquarters of the League's General Secretariat in Cairo.
In the field of partnerships and international relations, the Organization signed different cooperation agreements with educational organizations having interest in promoting the educational quality in the Arab countries, regionally and internationally including the Education Directorate at the League's General Secretariat, Jordan Higher Education Accreditation Commission, Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation (FIBAA) in addition to others.
Moreover, the Organization has started assisting a number of the higher education institutions in the Arab countries to establish quality assurance systems in addition to providing quality assurance programs according to the international quality standards.
