ASIP at WIPO headquarters in Geneva

July 3, 2007- Geneva - Mr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, Chairman of ASIP, and Mr. Mu'tasem Dmour, Manager of ASIP, visited WIPO's headquarters in Geneva to meet with WIPO's authorities, Dr. Kamil Idris, Director General of WIPO, Mr. Narendra Sabhrawal, Deputy Director General of WIPO, Ms. Nahla Haidar, Director of Technical Assistance and Capacity Building Bureau for Arab Countries, and Mr. Samer Al-Tarawneh, Director of Technical Assistance and Capacity Building Bureau for Arab Countries.
During the first meeting, both parties reassessed and further developed their cooperation in the field of Intellectual Property (IP). During the meeting, attendees discussed various projects and plans that aim towards further integrating IP laws and IP awareness into the Arab region. During the meeting, WIPO and ASIP concluded that their goals are in the same direction, and that both of them strive towards Capacity Building.
