‘Abu-Ghazaleh for Technology’ and Al Hussein Technical University Sign MoU

- Talal Abu-Ghazaleh for Technology (TAGTech), a member of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh
Global Digital (TAG.GD), and Al Hussein Technical University (HTU) signed a
Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen mutual cooperation in the
fields of technical education, capacity building, applied research, innovation,
and entrepreneurship.
During
the signing ceremony, which took place at the TAG.GD’s headquarters in Amman,
HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, TAG.GD founder and chairman, welcomed the HTU
delegation, emphasizing the importance of partnerships between the academic
institutions and the private sector in equipping Jordanian youth with the
necessary digital skills. He noted that TAGTech factory stands as a pioneering
model in smart manufacturing and applied education, expressing his pride in
placing the TAG.GD’s expertise and resources at the service of national
universities.
For
his part, HE Prof. Ismail Al Hinti, HTU president, expressed his appreciation
to Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh for hosting him and the accompanying delegation, pointing
out that the signing of the MoU represents the vision of HRH Crown Prince Al
Hussein bin Abdullah II in reinforcing collaboration with the private sector in
the fields of innovation and entrepreneurship. He further emphasized that the
University’s professional apprenticeship program serves as a cornerstone of its
academic framework, implemented in partnership with leading institutions and
companies within Jordan’s local market.
The
MoU aims to develop training and applied programs for HTU students at TAGTech’s
factory, providing them with practical, hands-on experience in a real
production environment. It also includes cooperation in research, development,
and technological innovation; supporting student projects; and organizing joint
hackathons and technology-related events. Additionally, the agreement covers
collaboration in joint tenders and bids that serve the shared goals of both
parties, while contributing to enhancing national employment and innovation.
Moreover,
the two sides agreed to expand the scope of cooperation to include all academic
disciplines at the university, extending beyond training at the TAGTech factory
to cover all activities and initiatives carried out by TAG.GD. They also agreed
to nominate coordinators from both sides for each area of collaboration to
ensure effective implementation and achievement of shared goals.
At
the conclusion of the meeting, the two sides expressed their appreciation for
the level of mutual understanding and integration between them, reaffirming
their commitment to continued collaboration on initiatives and projects that
advance technical education, empower Jordanian youth, and strengthen the
knowledge-based economy in Jordan.
It
is worth mentioning that the MoU was signed by Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh, TAG.GD founder
and chairman, and Prof. Al Hinti, University president, in the presence of a
group of administrative and academic representatives from both sides.
