Inauguration of the ‘Abu-Ghazaleh Knowledge Station’ at the Civil Status and Passports Department
AMMAN – Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Knowledge Station was recently
inaugurated at the headquarters of Jordan-based Civil Status and Passports
Department in the presence of Eng. Ghaith Ghazi Al-Tayyeb, director general of
the Department, and HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, founder and chairman of Talal
Abu-Ghazaleh Global Digital (TAG.GD).
This inauguration comes within the framework of the ongoing
cooperation between the two parties, aimed at advancing digital transformation
and capacity building in the Jordanian public institutions in partnership with
the private sector.
During the inauguration ceremony, a number of TAG-EDU devices,
manufactured and produced by Talal Abu-Ghazaleh for Technology (TAGTech – a
member of TAG.GD), were handed over to support the Department’s digital
training and learning programs, reflecting TAG.GD’s commitment to providing
state-of-the-art technological solutions that empower government employees to
properly deal with current digital challenges.
In his remarks, Eng. Al-Tayyeb asserted that the Station marks a
qualitative leap in supporting the Department’s efforts to develop digital
government services, highlighting its role in enhancing staff competencies
through specialized training programs.
He said that this initiative would significantly improve the
quality of services provided to citizens while enabling the Department to keep
pace with modern technological advancements.
For his part, Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh expressed his pride in
collaborating with the Civil Status and Passports Department, emphasizing that
this initiative comes in line with TAG.GD’s vision to support digital
transformation in Jordan’s public sector through effective public-private partnership.
He further pointed out that through this Station, TAG.GD aims to
provide innovative training programs using TAG-EDU devices, designed to enhance
interactive learning and develop human capacities, enabling employees to keep
updated with the latest learning methodologies.
It is worth mentioning that the Station represents a strategic
step towards empowering Civil Status and Passports Department employees with
modern digital knowledge and the skills necessary to keep pace with the rapid
changes in the labor market. It will serve also as a hub for continuous
training and development, strengthening the Department’s overall performance
and contributing to the Jordanian government’s vision towards transforming into
a digital economy.
