TAG-Confucius Institute Holds “Year of the Horse” Artwork Collection Event
From
February 1 to 14, Amman TAG-Confucius Institute (TAG-CI) held “Year of the
Horse” artwork collection event. Centered on the theme of the Chinese lunar New
Year of the Horse, the event attracted enthusiastic participation from a big
number of students.
The
students gave full play to their creativity and passion, portraying spirited
horses in a variety of forms and expressions. Through their artworks, they
conveyed heartfelt wishes and festive blessings for the Chinese Spring
Festival.
The submitted works demonstrated rich
artistic expression and diverse aesthetic perspectives. Some works featured the
delicate detailing of sketching, while others displayed the vivid rendering of
oil painting. Certain pieces highlighted the simplicity and beauty of lines in
minimalist drawing, whereas others showcased the refined elegance of
traditional meticulous painting. Younger children, meanwhile, used colored
pencils to depict vibrant horses filled with childlike imagination.
After
careful evaluation by the teachers, Sireen Ghannam and Hanin Aljammaim were awarded the First Prize; Mariam Alzaben and Dana received the Second Prize; Eman Odeh, Sally Abu Kishk and Mustafa
Alkharabsheh won the Third Prize.
This event effectively integrated Chinese
zodiac culture with artistic creation. It not only deepened students’
understanding of the spirit embodied by the “Horse” in traditional Chinese
culture symbolizing enterprise, perseverance, and vitality but also provided
them with a platform to showcase their talents and engage in mutual learning
and exchange.
